Police believe Sinner was shot after an altercation with a group of people and rushed to hospital, but he too succumbed to his injuries.

Long before Sinner was slain on Edmonton’s streets, he and his partner Jerry Michael Felicity Desjarlais faced charges of attempted murder in Regina, Sask. after a violent altercation that sent two men to hospital with serious injuries on Sept. 27, 2012. for a group of people fighting and found two males nearby suffering from stab wounds.

Sinner and Desjarlais were both taken into custody and charged with attempted murder.

Desjarlais later plead guilty to a lesser charge of uttering threats on July 25, 2013, and was sentenced to time served.

By the time Sinner’s case made it to court, his charges had been reduced to assault with a weapon accused of using a golf club in the assault however Sinner was acquitted on those charges on May 21, 2015.

Prior to that, in 2000 Sinner was convicted of four counts of robbery while disguised in Calgary in two separate court cases, and sentenced to a combined total of 10 years behind bars.
